How did the crash happen?
On Monday at 2:45 p.m., there was a crash on County Road E0640, about three-quarters of a mile east of Hennessey. A 15-year-old boy was driving a 1986 Chevrolet S-10 Blazer going east when he lost control.
The truck went off the road to the left, into a field, and rolled over one and a half times before stopping upside down. During the rollover, a 15-year-old passenger was thrown out of the truck. The driver went to St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Enid for medical help but was later released, according to the report.
The report said the driver seemed normal, but the reason for the crash was said to be going too fast. Importantly, the report noted that neither the driver nor the passenger were wearing seat belts, and the road where it happened was a two-lane gravel road.
