Who was Craig Robert Roh?

Craig Roh was born on August 26, 1989, in Scottsdale, Arizona. He was a talented athlete who excelled in football, basketball, and track. Craig Roh passed away on Monday, February 26, 2024, at the age of 34.

Craig attended Chaparral High School, where he served as a four-year starter and earned a two-time all-state selection as a defensive end. He played a key role in helping his team win three state championships and was named the Arizona Gatorade Player of the Year in 2007.

Continuing his football career at the University of Michigan, Craig played for four seasons from 2009 to 2012. He proved to be a versatile and reliable player, starting in 51 consecutive games, and setting a school record for a defensive lineman.

Craig Roh played in various positions, including defensive end, outside linebacker, and defensive tackle. He concluded his college career with 150 tackles, 10.5 sacks, and four forced fumbles. As a team captain, he earned Academic All-Big Ten honors in his senior year.

Selected by the Carolina Panthers in the seventh round of the 2013 NFL Draft, Craig spent one season with the Panthers, appearing in three games. Despite preseason stints with the San Diego Chargers and the Philadelphia Eagles, he did not secure a spot on the final roster. Robert Roh retired from professional football in 2015.

During his final moments, he was surrounded by his father, Fred Roh, his closest confidant and greatest supporter, as well as other family members.
